This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to re-investigate the case in Cr.No.401 of 2015 pursuant to the information given by the petitioner by mentioning the vehicle No.TN-23 N 2058 involved in the road traffic accident.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. In respect of a road accident involving the petitioner and his wife, a case in Cr.No.401/2015 has been registered on 17.12.2015 for offences u/s 279, 337 and 304(A) IPC. It is the case of the petitioner that his wife died in the road accident and his child got injured. At the time of giving the FIR, the name of the bus has not been mentioned and therefore, the police have not named the accused. Now the petitioner has given a representation dated 01.03.2016 to the Investigating Officer giving the registration number of the bus TN-23-N2058. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that there is no proof of the petitioner having given the representation.

5. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to go in person and give a fresh representation and on receipt of such representation, the respondent police shall conduct enquiry along with Cr.No.401/2015 and if it is found to be necessary, Alteration Report should be filed by the respondent police.
