Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing 1st respondent to issue the petitioner transfer certificate and conduct certificate based on petitioner's representations dated 21.02.2023 and 27.07.2023 within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Read this order in continuation of and in conjunction with order dated 01.07.2024 that reads as follows:- "On instructions, Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1 to 4, would state that the first respondent has no objection to issuing duplicate copies of the conduct and transfer certificates of the petitioner in R1 college.

2. However he would reiterate that the documents have already been issued to the petitioner 40 years ago during which period the petitioner was a student in R1 college. The original files are also produced in court.

3. Without going into the question of whether the originals have been misplaced by the petitioner or, whether they were at all issued by the college, the following directions are issued:

(i) Let the petitioner appear before the first respondent during working hours on 05.07.2024 or any day prior thereto;

(ii) R1 will grant him audience and issue duplicate copies of his conduct and transfer certificates.

4. List on 09.07.2024 under the caption 'For reporting compliance'."

Today both learned counsel would confirm that duplicate copies of the conduct and transfer certificates have been handed over by the respondents and the same has been duly received by the petitioner on 04.07.2024.

With this nothing further survives in this writ petition and recording the aforesaid, this writ petition is closed. No costs. 09.07.2024 Index:Yes/No ssm 2/4
