ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition seeks for expeditious disposal of O.S.No.244 of 2021 pending on the file of the Subordinate Judge, Thiruvottiyur.

2. I had called for a report from the learned Subordinate Judge, Thiruvottiyur as to how long he would require to dispose off the suit. Pursuant to the direction, the learned Subordinate Judge pointed out that the suit papers had not been sent in full by the Sub Court at Ponneri and therefore he could not proceed with the suit. Therefore, I gave a direction to the Additional Subordinate Judge at Ponneri to send the papers forthwith to the Subordinate Court at Thiruvottiyur. The learned Judge at Ponneri sent a report on 13.11.2024 stating that the entire papers had been sent to the Court at Thiruvottiyur.

3. Today, the learned counsel for the civil revision petitioner pleads that the suit papers have been received at Thiruvottiyur and renumbered as O.S.No.199 of 2024, and that the suit is posted for hearing on 20.12.2024. He also states that the pleadings were completed as early as on 05.03.2022 when the suit was pending before the Subordinate Judge at Ponneri.

4. Taking into consideration that the suit papers have now been received and the suit is ready for hearing, the learned Subordinate Judge at Thiruvottiyur is requested to expedite the proceedings in O.S.No.199 of 2024 at all stages. He shall also take into consideration that the civil revision petitioner is a senior citizen.

5. With the above direction, this Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
