The petitioners were arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 29.03.2016 for the alleged offences punishable under sections 332 and 307 IPC, in Crime No.272 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and hence, seek bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 28.03.2016 all the accused have taken food at Bhoohari Hotel at Egmore, Chennai and while taking food, a quarrel arose between the accused and the server of the Hotel, which was informed to the respondent police. When the police questioned the accused, they were assaulted and caused injuries.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent submitted that there is no previous case against the petitioners and the injured has been discharged from the hospital.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioners with certain conditions.

6. Accordingly, the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail on their executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned XIV Metropolitan Magistrate, Allikulam, Chennai and on further condition that the petitioners shall report before the respondent police as and when required.
