Crl.O.P.No.21698 of 2023 G.CHANDRASEKHARAN.J., The petitioner namely Manigandan, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 07.05.2023 for the offence under Sections294 (b), 324, 307 I.P.C. in Crime No.282 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2.It is the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner is falsely implicated as accused in Cr.No.282 of 2023 registered for the offences under Section 294 (b), 324, 307 I.P.C. Petitioner is in judicial custody from 07.05.2023. He is innocent. Thus, he seeks bail. 3.In response, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that petitioner and one Sindhuja were in love with each other. During the course of their love, petitioner had taken photograph of Sindhuja. However, Sindhuja and defacto-complainant got married. Even after the marriage, petitioner started threatening Sindhuja showing the photographs taken. In fact on 06.05.2023, petitioner invited Sindhuja and defacto-complainant to come to Karamadai to speak with them, 1/4
thereafter, he said, he would not cause any problem. Believing his words on 07.05.2023, at about 03.00 p.m. defacto-complainant and Sindhuja went to Karamadai and when talking with petitioner/Manikandan near his house, suddenly petitioner took a knife from his pant pocket and stabbed Sindhuja indiscriminately. When defacto-complainant tried to intervene, he was also attacked. Injured had been treated and discharged.
4. This is the second bail petition filed by the petitioner. Earlier bail petition filed by the petitioner was dismissed on 01.08.2023 taking into consideration the nature of injuries suffered by the victim and that if the petitioner is released on bail, there is a possibility that petitioner may threaten the witness. Now, it is informed by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that, investigation in this case is completed and final report is filed. However, considering the nature of the offence committed by the petitioner and other points discussed above, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original petition is dismissed. However, the learned trial Judge is directed to dispose the case as expeditiously as possible.
