O R D E R

The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to the public and animals while closing dangerous and unused 95 feet well, as per complaint dated 05.09.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents 1 & 2.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that there is an unused well of 95 feet depth situated in the land belonging to the petitioner. Since the well causes danger, he intends to close the well. Since the petitioner apprehends any untoward incident or any other disturbance at the time of closing the well, he had given a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 to provide police protection to close the well.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner need not apprehend about the disturbance since the well 2/4

belongs to him and it is a private property.

5. However, the respondent police can consider the consensus of the petitioner and also consider his representation dated 05.09.2022 and do the needful in accordance with law.

6. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
