Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

The main relief sought for in this Writ Petition is to consider and dispose of the representation dated 20.02.2017 submitted by the petitioner to the respondents in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.118, Finance (PENSION) Department dated 14th February 1996 and also G.O.Ms.No.562, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 28.10.1998, in the interest of justice.

Having heard both the counsels and considering the fact that the relief sought for in this Writ Petition is only to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner, in the considered opinion of this Court, this Writ Petition can be disposed of without going into merits of the case, directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law within a stipulated time in the interest of justice.

Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to consider and dispose of the representation dated 20.02.2017 submitted by the petitioner to the respondents in accordance with law 2/4

within a period of two months from today. There shall be no order as to costs.
