PRAYER: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioners' representation dated 26.02.2021 and 09.08.2023 to determine the compensation for petitioner's land under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act 1894 or in the alternative to restore the possession of the lands comprised in S.No.574/2A1, 575/1A2 and S.No.575/2B of a total extent of hectare 1 and 26 ares in Vichur (Sub Village), Thennampattu Village, Hamlet of No.173, Zamin Endathur, Maduranthakam Taluk, Chengalpattu District to the petitioners herein. ORDER

The writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider the petitioners' representations dated 26.02.2021 and 09.08.2023 to determine the compensation for petitioner's land under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act 1894 or in the alternative, to restore the possession of the lands comprised in S.Nos.574/2A1, 575/1A2 and S.No.575/2B of a total extent of hectare 1 and 26 ares in Vichur (Sub Village), Thennampattu Village, Hamlet of No.173, Zamin Endathur, Maduranthakam Taluk, Chengalpattu District to the petitioners herein. 2/5

2.Mr.P.Gurunathan, the learned Additional Government Pleader has accepted notice for the respondents.

3.The respondents are directed to consider the petitioners' representations dated 26.02.2021 and 09.08.2023, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and other rival claimants, if any, and pass appropriate orders within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. Each of the petitioners are directed to pay separate court fee and W.M.P.No.32066 of 2023 stands ordered accordingly, failing which the petitioners are not entitled to get the copy of the order. No costs.
