ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.P. Thiagarajan, the Petitioner submitted that since the matter relates to election of the year 2004, which is already over, he seeks leave of this Court to withdraw the Writ Petition and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.

Recording the same, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Since this Court has adjudicated upon the merits of the contentions raised by the Petitioner in the Writ Petition, it is made clear that if the Petitioner is still aggrieved by deleting of his name from the Voters list resulting in denying the right to vote, it is open to him to pursue appropriate remedy in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, connected WPMPs are closed.
