ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) The contempt petition has been instituted to punish the respondent for his wilfull disobedience of the order dated 01.08.2023 in O.P.No.5106 of 2022 passed by the learned VII Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai.

It is not in dispute that the petitioner and the respondent file Mutual Consent Petition under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 to dissolve the marriage solemnized between the petitioner and the respondent on 24.01.1999.

The mutual consent petition of the parties was allowed by the Family court and the marriage solemnized on 24.01.1999 was dissolved by mutual consent.

The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that even after dissolving the marriage, the settlement made between the parties are not properly made.

By filing a contempt petition, the petitioner cannot redress her grievances relating to an order of mutual consent passed by the Family
Court dissolving the marriage between the petitioner and the respondent. That apart, the petitioner has not established any violation of the orders passed by the Family Court in respect of the mutual consent petition filed in O.P.No.5106 of 2022 dated 01.08.2023. If at all the petitioner is aggrieved, she is at liberty to workout her remedy, if any available under law and in the manner known to law.

Accordingly, the Contempt Petition stands dismissed.
Consequently, the Sub Application is closed.
