Respondent Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's request dated 9.5.2024 and 2.9.2024 and sanction One Time Settlement for the loan account numbers Loan Nos.254300NC03515612, 254300900000309, 254300NC03515977 and 254300NC03515995 after doing the accounting as per the RBI guidelines for NPA accounts.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner sent representations on 9.5.2024 and 2.9.2024 expressing her willingness to settle the entire outstanding amount under One-Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme. As the said representations did not evoke any response, the present writ petition is filed.

2. Learned counsel for the respondent/bank submits that the respondent/bank would consider the representations of the petitioner as per the prevalent policy and eligible norms and communicate their decision to the petitioner within two weeks. In view of the above submissions, without going into the merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 9.5.2024 and 2.9.2024, on merits and in accordance with the

prevalent policy and norms, and pass appropriate orders within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, no coercive steps shall be taken by the respondent/bank. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.29820 of 2024 is closed.
