ORDER

(1)Mr.M.Shajakhan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. With the consent of both the counsels, the main writ petition is taken for final disposal at the admission stage itself. (2)The writ petition is filed for a mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's regularisation application dated 04.10.2023 in Registration No.DTCP/P/0022545 2017/23 pending on the file of the respondent within a stipulated time frame to be prescribed by this Court. (3)The petitioner purchased a vacant plot No.3PT in a layout formulated in S.No.5/1, 5/3, 9/1 and 9/3 at Kalapatti Village, Coimbatore North Taluk, Coimbatore District under a registered Sale Deed on 18.08.2021. The petitioner states that after purchasing the property, the petitioner came to know that the layout was not an approved layout and therefore, the petitioner submitted an application on 04.10.2023, for regularisation of his plot. Since

the petitioner's application was kept pending for no reasons, the petitioner was constrained to file the above writ petition for the aforesaid relief. (4)Heard both sides and also perused the materials placed on record. (5)In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the fact that the petitioner's application is pending for more than two years, a direction is issued to the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 04.10.2023, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
