The petitioner herein seeks to transfer the investigation pending in Crime No.389 of 2019.

2. Today, when the matter came up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the new Investigation Officer has taken charge of this case and he will prioritize the investigation of this case and file the final report.

3. However, this Court is not satisfied with the given explanation and the first respondent is hereby directed to transfer the investigation to any other officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police, with instructions to complete the investigation within a period of four months.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
