By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for a mandamus, directing the first respondent to pass an appropriate order on his representation dated 3.9.2016 within a time framed manner.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that he joined service as Grade II Police Constable on 1.12.2003 and now working as Grade II Police Constable at Amaravathi Nagar Police Station. While so, due to family problem, he was not able to report duty from 16.3.2010. Thereafter, he reported duty on 16.11.2011 and he was transferred to District Armed Reserve at Coimbatore on 11.1.2012. But, his service register was not sent to Coimbatore District Reserve Police Office, Coimbatore or Thiruppur District Police Office. several representations, but, the same was not considered. Finally, he sent a representation dated 3.9.2016 to the first respondent requesting him to send his Service Register to Coimbatore District Reserve Police Office, Coimbatore or Thiruppur District Police Office. Since the same was also not considered so far, left with no other alternative, the petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for the relief set out earlier.
4. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader, who has taken notice on behalf of the respondents.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submissions made on either side, without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 3.9.2016 requesting him to send his Service Register to Coimbatore District Reserve Police Office, Coimbatore or Thiruppur District Police Office and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
