C O M M O N O R D E R Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner through video conferencing and learned Government Advocate for the first respondent and learned standing counsel for the second respondent and perused the materials available on record.

This writ petition is filed questioning the action of the respondents in not allowing the petitioners to appear in the examination scheduled to be held on 29.09.2019 and 28.09.2019 for the recruitment to the post of 'Post Graduate Assistants/Physical Education Directors Grade -I' in School Education and other departments for the year 2018-2019 and also seeking direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 19.09.2019.

This Court by an interim order dated 25.09.2019 had directed the petitioners to obtain Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.250/- each towards fees and submit the same to the second respondent on or before 26.09.2019 at 05.00 p.m. and the second respondent was directed to accept such payment. Further, the second respondent was directed to issue hall ticket to the petitioners and permit them to appear for the examination. 3/7

Pursuant to the aforesaid interim direction, the petitioners were issued with hall ticket and permitted to appear for the examination which was to be held for selecting the candidates for appointment to the post of 'Post Graduate Assistants/Physical Education Directors Grade -I' in School Education and other departments

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent submits that the petitioners after appearing in the examination have secured 42 and 47 marks out of 150 marks under Schedule Caste category respectively, while the candidates must secure 67.5 out of 150 marks to get qualified in the examination.

6. Learned Standing Counsel further submits that since both the petitioners did not secure minimum gratifying marks of 67.5 out of 150 and secured only 42 and 47 marks out of 150 marks respectively, they were not considered for Certificate Verification.

7. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent also placed before this Court a copy of the written instructions under the 4/7

signature of District Revenue Officer dated 15.10.2025 enclosing therewith the admit card issued to the petitioners.

8. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that since, the petitioners were permitted to appear for the examination pursuant to the orders of this Court, and they having not secured minimum qualifying marks, the cause in the writ petition may not survive for consideration.

9. In view of the aforesaid submission and taking note of the fact that this Court having permitted the petitioners to take part in the examination and the petitioners having taken part in the examination but not having secured minimum qualifying marks, this Court is of the view that the cause in the present writ petition does not survive for consideration.

10. Accordingly, this Writ petition is closed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 23.10.2025 msv Speaking order / Non-speaking order Index : Yes / No : Yes / No 5/7
