In these Writ petitions, the Government Orders in G.O.(Ms.)No.121 Energy (B1) Department dated 23.12.2010 and G.O.(Ms.)No.55 Energy (D2) Department dated 20.10.2021 are under challenge. The very same Government Orders have already been challenged in number of Writ petitions in W.P.No.22504 of 2022 etc., batch, where the learned Judge of this Court by order dated 30.08.2022 has passed the following interim order.

" 4. Accordingly, a direction is issued to the respondents not to disconnect the electricity service connection for nonpayment of e-tax on Indian Energy Power Exchanges and captive power plants and insofar as the other amounts are concerned, as demanded by the respondents, the respective petitioners shall continue to pay the said amount without committing any default."

2. Following the said order, there shall be an interim order to that effect in these Writ petitions as well.

Mr.S.Madhusudhanan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for respondents in respect of W.P.No.27577 of 2024.
