Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 2 and 3 to remove the objectionable contents in the syllabus of IX Standard at page No.168 in the text book of Social Science/Political Science meant for CBSE course prescribed by the third respondent in terms of the communication made in CBSE(ACAD)/JD(AHA)/2016/71013 dated 06.10.2016 issued by the second respondent forthwith.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) On hearing the petitioner and perusing the petition and also the typed set of documents, we consider it appropriate that respondent No.3 should examine the representation of the petitioner dated 14.9.2016, more specifically, in view of the communication of respondent No.4 dated 06.10.2016 informing that the NCERT has constituted a Committee to review the text books of Social Science/Political Science and the NCERT has not yet informed the CBSE the decision of the Committee in this matter. Once NCERT/respondent No.3 takes a view on the matter, it appears, then only the CBSE will consider the matter.
2. The representation may be decided and the decision be communicated by respondent No.3 to respondent No.4 within a maximum period of three months of the receipt of the copy of this order.
