Complaint regarding on-line fraud registered in Crime No.96 of 2024 on 11.03.2024.The petitioner herein is the complainant seeks direction for expeditious investigation and file final report. 1/4

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that based on the complaint, the account of the suspected been already freezed and the investigation is carried on as per law. Being an on-line fraud, sufficient time is required for completing the investigation.

In the light of the fact that the fraud been committed through on-line and the investigation is at nascent stage, this Court is not in a position to fix upper limit for completion of investigation, since the respondent police has already identified the account of the suspect and freezed the account. It is sufficient to direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
