The petitioner herein being summoned for enquiry in connection with the complaint alleging that he has received Rs.17 lakhs offering of job and deceived the complainant.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the police has called the petitioner for enquiry and after extorting Rs.3 lakhs, they have taken undertaking letter by force that the petitioner will pay the balance amount.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that the complaint was received on 29.04.2024. After enquiry proceedings, the petitioner has agreed to repay the money, the police has not registered the FIR and proceeded. The petitioner who was supposed to appear for enquiry on 09.09.2024, but failed to appear before the Investigating Officer. 4.

The said facts and circumstances, the respondent police is directed to proceed on the complaint in accordance with law and not to indulge any process of recovering money from the petitioner, which alleged to have been received by deceit and intention to cheat. 2/4

With this observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
