Heard Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the petitioners and Mr.T.Nixon, learned counsel for the respondent.

Learned counsel for the respondent opposes the petition on the ground that no sufficient cause is mentioned for the inordinate delay. Even if the Covid-19 pandemic period is excluded, still there is a huge delay.

It appears that the delay is of 239 days and also much of the days are lost during the Covid-19 pandemic period.

The reasons for the delay are stated in the accompanying affidavit.

For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, the delay of 239 days in filing the appeal is condoned. The petition stands allowed and is disposed of.
