Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to arrange and grant the proper protection to the petitioner society for the proper management and administration of Arulmighu Chennkesava Perumal Swamy, Govindaraja Perumal Swamy, Vinayagar Swamy, Panchamuga Anjaneyer Temple, Mankuramalai, Perampattu Village, Tirupattur Taluk and district and not to constitute any festival committee comprising of outsiders. The petitioner herein seeks issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to arrange and grant proper protection to the petitioner Society for the proper management and administration of Arulmighu Chennakesava Perumal Swamy, Govindaraja Perumal Swamy, Vinayagar Swamy, Panchamuga Anjaneyer Temple, Mankuramalai, Perampattu Village, Tirupattur Taluk and District and also for direction not to constitute any festival committee comprising of outsiders.
2. When the writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner produced the Government order in G.O.Ms.No.101, Tourism, Culture & Endowment Department dated 23.05.2023, wherein a Trust Board was constituted by the Government for the above mentioned temple. Therefore, the first limb of the prayer sought for by the petitioner seeking protection to the petitioner Society for proper management and administration of the temple cannot be entertained.
3. Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate (HR & CE) takes notice for the respondents 1 & 2 on instructions, submits that as per the 3/6
circular issued by the Commissioner of HR & CE Department in Na.Ka.No. 15973/2023/N5, dated 25.05.2023, festival committee shall not be constituted in respect of the temples. Therefore, there is no proposal by the respondents 1 & 2 to constitute festival committee for the above said temple. The said Statement of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 is recorded.
4.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
