This petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent police to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 10.04.2016.

2. No appearance for the petitioner, may be due to boycott of Courts.

3. Heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint dated 19.03.2016 given by the petitioner, petition enquiry was conducted in CSR No.80 of 2016 and the same was closed. Thereafter, the petitioner was called for enquiry in connection with the complaint given by one P.Ravi and he had come to the Police Station and given a statement on 10.04.2016, based on which the petitioner now wants the respondent police to register an FIR.

5. This Court perused the statement dated 10.04.2016 given by the petitioner, a reading of which shows that the petitioner had gone to the police station in connection with an enquiry on the complaint of one Ravi in respect of cheating of some Tanjore paintings. Under such circumstances, no positive direction can be issued to register an FIR on the statement dated 10.04.2016. Accordingly, this petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
