O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2025 seeking issuance of death certificate and legal heirship certificate to the petitioner in respect of her missing husband.

2. Mrs.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner being a legally wedded wife of her husband viz., Mohamed Rafi, had submitted a representation to the 2nd respondent requesting to issue death certificate as well as the legal heirship certificate in respect of her missing husband. However, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2025 and pass orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court. 2/4

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2025 will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
