For Petitioner : M/s.H.Mary Sowmi Rexi for M/s.Isaac Chambers in both writ petitions For R1 to R3 : Mr.M.Alagu Goutham Government Advocate in both writ petitions C O M M O N O R D E R These writ petitions have been filed to direct the 3rd respondent/Regional Joint Director to approve forthwith the appointment of non- teaching staff (Name List annexed) in the petitioner's College and disburse the staff grant towards their salary and allowances with effect from the respective dates of their appointments. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner College had appointed certain non-teaching staff in the sanctioned posts and

subsequently, sent separate proposals on various dates to the 3rd respondent/Joint Director seeking approval of appointment of those nonteaching staff for the purpose of disbursement of their grant-in-aid towards their salary. However, no orders have been passed on the proposals sent by the petitioner. Hence, the writ.

3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Alagu Goutham, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents.

4.It is now stated before this Court that the 3rd respondent has forwarded the proposals to the 2nd respondent and the same is now pending with the 2nd respondent.

5.Learned Government Advocate would fairly submit that the 2nd respondent will consider the proposals forwarded by the 3rd respondent and orders will be passed on merits.

6.In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate and considering the limited nature of relief sought for in the

present writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the proposals sent by the petitioner seeking approval of appointment of non-teaching staff in the petitioner College, which were forwarded by the 3rd respondent, on its own merits and in accordance with Rules, and pass appropriate orders on the same, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
