This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on petitioner representation dated 07.07.2023.

2. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that there was no provision for the male nurse for applying through online portal to the admission of M.Sc (Nursing) course. In this regard, even the reply from the Public Information Officer, Directorate of Medical Education also indicate that men are allowed to proceed in the selection process for the post graduation. In this regard, he has given a representation dated 07.07.2023. Hence, seeks a direction.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. Since the process is on, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.07.2023 and the petitioner is also directed to give a fresh representation in person to the second respondent and the selection committee with proper acknowledgement. Such representation shall be considered within a period of one week and the Order be passed so that equality is maintained in the process.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
