Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus for a direction directing the first respondent to dispose the application of the petitioner for arbitration dated 28-10-2009 to enhance the compensation awarded to the petitioner herein vide proceedings of the 2nd respondent herein 07-09-2009 in his proceedings Spl.DRO.286/2009(NH-68) for acquisition of land of the petitioner herein situate in Survey Nos.S.F.No.186/2A2,186/3B and 186/4B2 (in WP 40221/16)and S.F No. 190/6c2, 190/7B, 190/8A, 191/1A2, 192/2A, 192/2B, 192/3B1, 192/3E1, 193/4M2 and 193/5B (in WP 40222/16) at Chinna Salem Village, Villupuram District within an appropriate time or order of this Court. The writ petitions have been filed praying for a direction to the first respondent to dispose the representations of the petitioners for arbitration dated 28-10-2009 to enhance the compensation awarded to the petitioners herein vide proceedings https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the 2nd respondent herein 07-09-2009 in his proceedings Spl.DRO.286/2009(NH-68) for acquisition of land of the petitioner herein situate in Survey Nos.S.F.No.186/2A2,186/3B and 186/4B2(in W.P.No.40221 of 2016) and in Survey Nos.S.F.No.190/6C2, 190/7B, 190/8A, 191/1A2, 192/2A, 192/2B, 192/3B1, 192/3E1, 193/4M2 and 193/5B at Chinna Salem Village, Villupuram District within an appropriate time or order of this Court.

The case of the petitioners is that the representations given before the first respondent/District Collector cum Arbitrator, Villupuram seeking enhancement of compensation, for the lands acquired by the respondents has not been disposed of till date and hence, has come forward with the present writ petition.

Mr. M. Elumalai, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has taken notice and seeks time to consider the said representations.

In view of the limited relief sought for in the petitions, without going into the merits, the writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the representation dated 28-10-2009, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
