This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 20.09.2022.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint on 20.09.2022, but so far no action has been taken by the second respondent police on the said complaint. He further submitted that in this regard a representation was also sent to the first respondent on 20.10.2022 and that was also not considered; hence he is seeking a suitable direction to the first respondent to register the F.I.R. on the complaint given by the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that on the complaint given by one Murugesan against this petitioner, C.S.R. number has been assigned in C.S.R.No.306 of 2022 and enquiry was conducted and closed on 2/5

17.10.2022. It is further submitted that the present complaint is not available with the file of the second respondent police and if the petitioner could approach the second respondent police with a copy of the said complaint that will enable the second respondent police to take appropriate action. 5.

It is seen that the complaint has been sent through the first respondent / Superintendent of Police. Hence there would have been some delay in receiving the complaint by the second respondent police through proper channel. The second respondent police can also verify whether the petitioner has filed any such complaint before the first respondent police and initiate action. Otherwise, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the second respondent police and furnish a copy of the complaint already sent by him and enable the second respondent police to initiate action.

With these observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
