ORDER

The petitioner herein is the accused in Crime No.99 of 2024. The complaint is under investigation for the offences under Sections 43 and 66 of Information Technology Act, 2000 and Section 420 of IPC.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is ready to repay the amount alleged to have been cheated and therefore, the same may be recorded and First Information Report may be quashed.

3.This Court is of the view that if the petitioner wants to settle the dispute with the defacto complainant, it is always open to him to settle the dispute and they both report to the Investigating Officer about their settlement and if the Investigating Officer satisfies 2/4

that no other offence against the State is committed in this matter, he shall record the compromise and close the First Information Report.

4. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
