ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 restraining the 5th respondent from collecting money by misleading the public in the name of consecration ceremoney at Old Mariamman Temple, Thirumalaipatti Village.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he is a sole hereditary trustee of Old Mariamman Temple situated at S.No.258/2, Thirumalaipatti Village which belongs to Venduvan Community. On 23.05.2018, the 5th respondent had produced a fabricated order as if he has been assigned with some power over the temple and collected huge money from the general public illegally, for which, the petitioner lodged a complaint against the 5th respondent before the Pudhusathiram Police Station, CSR Number was assigned. However, no action has been taken so far. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 29.01.2024 to the respondents 1 to 3 with the aforesaid prayer and the same was not considered. Hence, the present writ petition.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may issue a direction toe the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 4th respondent will be considered the petitioner's representation and orders will be passed within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the limited request sought for by the petitioner, this Court directs the third respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 29.01.2024 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 12.09.2024 rli M.DHANDAPANI,J.
