[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] Seeking ordinary leave under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982, for the convict prisoner Sathiq Basha [CT No.3315], his mother has filed the present writ petition for a mandamus.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, submitted that the Superintendent, Central Prison, Vellore, has passed an order dated 28.12.2021 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

rejecting the claim of ordinary leave on the ground that the convict prisoner Sathiq Basha has already exhausted his quota of ordinary leave. However, his request for emergency leave could be considered as per the rules and based on the reports of the Probation Officer and the police.

Recording the aforesaid submission, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
