This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to register the complaint dated 28.12.2015, given by the petitioner, to investigate the same and file a final report.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

3. It is seen that this petitioner has lodged a private complaint before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Namakkal and the same has been forwarded to the Inspector of Police, Deputy Crime Branch, Namakkal under Section 156(3) of Cr.P.C., to register an FIR and investigate the case.

4. Under such circumstances, the Sub Inspector of Police, Deputy Crime Branch, Namakkal, is directed to register an FIR and investigate the case. If during investigation, it is found that the transaction is purely civil in nature, it is open to the police to close the FIR.
