The Criminal Original Petition has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.39 of 2016 dated 25.03.2016 before the learned District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Neyveli, within the time limit framed by this Court

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the 1st respondent.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner had lodged the complaint as early as on 25.03.2016, it is still pending without filing any final report.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that in view of the pending investigation, the charge sheet cannot be filed; the investigation is almost complete and if this Court gives a short time, final report will be filed.

5. Taking into consideration the submission so made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, I feel it is appropriate to dispose of the Criminal Original Petition with a direction to the 1st respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 04.11.2022 Index : Yes/ No Speaking Order:Yes/No uma To
