By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue patta in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.81/1 (New Sy.No.81/51) measuring an extent of 0.25 cents at Muttukadu Revenue Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu based on the petitioner's representation dated 26.06.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the property comprised in Survey No.81/1 (New Sy.No.81/51), measuring to a total extent of about 0.25 Cents situated at Muttukadu Revenue Village, Thiruporur Taluk, Chengalpattu District, by virtue of settlement deed dated 29.04.2023 registered as Doc.No.10465/2023 in the office of the Sub registrar, Thiruporur. It is submitted that, on coming to know that the above said property has been classified as "Giramma Natham", the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 26.06.2025 requesting to issue patta in respect of the subject property. However, no action has been taken till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

At the outset, it is submitted by the Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that, the petitioner has not taken out an online application, and if an online application is taken out, the same would be considered and disposed of in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which is agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner. 3/6

5. In view thereof, it is open to the petitioner to file an online application. If any such online application is filed, the concerned respondent shall consider the application and dispose of the same, within a period of 12 weeks from the date on which the said online application is made, after affording a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and to any other interested persons/stake holders. It is made clear that, this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law.
