Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of declaration declaring Clauses 10,24,26 and 29 of the Prospectus for Admission to Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges and Government Seats in SelfFinancing Medical Colleges affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, 2023 - 2024 Session (Prospectus) to the extent that they provide for imposition of discontinuation fees and forfeiture of security deposit and tuition fees, when a candidate resigns the seat allotted in Round No.1 of the State Counselling for Post Graduate (PG) Degree Seats if the candidate does not get re-allotted in Round 2 of the State Counselling for PG Degree seats, as arbitrary, unreasonable and in violation of Article 14 of the Constitution of India. Petitioner states that he has been permitted to participate in the third round of counselling and hence does not pursue this writ petition. An endorsement is made by Mr.A.Murali, learned counsel on record, to this effect.
