school based on merit in Selection in consideration of representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.08.2023.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to allow the petitioner to participate in the selection to the post of Craft Teacher in pursuant to Newspaper Advertisement dated 15.08.2023 without reference to age limit as prescribed in Tamil Nadu Private Schools (Regulation) Rules 2023 due to commencement of Selection process prior to new Rules and consequently select and appoint the petitioner to the post of Craft Teacher in the 4th respondent school based on merit in Selection in consideration of representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.08.2023.

2. The case of the writ petitioner that he should be allowed to participate in the selection post of Craft Teacher in pursuant to Newspaper Advertisement dated 15.08.2023. It is the grievance of the writ petitioner that petitioner is working for more than 14 years. Therefore, age relaxation should be given to him and he may be permitted to participate. Hence, seeks direction.

3. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. As the 2/4

petitioner has already crossed the age, as a matter of right, he cannot seek age relaxation. Such view of the matter, this Court is not inclined to issue mandamus.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
