ORDER

This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to return the original documents that were seized from the petitioner during the course of investigation.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Special Leave to Appeal (Crl.) No.9087 of 2015, by an order dated 25.10.2017, quashed the FIR in Crime No.179 of 2015. In spite of the same, the respondent police is continuing to hold the original documents and therefore the present petition has been filed.

3. Heard, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent police.

4. In view of the fact that the FIR itself has been quashed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court as early as in the year 2017, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to return the original documents that were seized from the petitioner. This process shall be completed by the 1st respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
