ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to pay interest amounts to the belatedly paid Provident Fund, Leave Liability, Service Gratuity and Commutation of pension amount to the petitioner at the rate of 4% per annum for 12 months of delayed payment in accordance with the Order dated 03.07.2023 made in W.P.No.19221 of 2023.

2. The petitioner had retired from service from the respondent Corporation on 31.05.2022. The grievance of the petitioner is that interest for the terminal benefits are not paid. In this regard, the petitioner has given representation to the respondents on 04.09.2023, however, the same has not been considered by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition

3. In view of the admitted fact that the petitioner is eligible for the amount, which has not been paid till date, the petitioner would be entitled for interest on the outstanding amount.

4. Accordingly, the respondents are directed to pay the eligible amount 2/4

along with interest at the rate of 4% per annum on the belated payment of the terminal benefits to the petitioner, from the date of his retirement till the date of actual disbursement within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
