Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records relating to the FIR in crime No.441 of 2019, dated 04.07.2019 on the file of the first respondent, quash the same and consequently, direct the first respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner herein so as to enable him to put up compound wall surrounding his property situated at Bajanai Koil Street, Mangalapuram, Ambattur comprised in S.No.72, Ambattur Village.

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging First Information Report in crime No.441 of 2019, dated 04.07.2019 on the file of the first respondent, quash the same and consequently, direct the first respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner herein so as to enable him to put up compound wall surrounding his property situated at Bajanai Koil Street, Mangalapuram, Ambattur comprised in S.No.72, Ambattur Village.
2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the First Information Report has been registered and forwarded the same to the Revenue Divisional Officer/2nd respondent for initiation of proceedings under Section 145 of Cr.P.C. and the same is pending for enquiry before the Revenue Divisional Officer/2nd respondent.
3.In the light of the above submission, the First Information Report in crime No. 441 of 2019 cannot be quashed at this stage. However, the 2nd respondent/ Revenue Divisional Officer, Central Chennai Division, Anna Nagar West, Chennai is directed to complete the proceedings initiated under Section 145 of Cr.P.C., after giving opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned, within a period of 12 weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
