O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for wilful disobedience of the order of this Court dated 08.01.2024 made in W.P.No.8 of 2024.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that this Court, vide order dated 08.01.2024, directed the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 30.06.2023 and pass appropriate orders, however, the same has not been complied with.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) appearing for the respondent submits that enquiry was conducted by the Joint Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Chennai, on 20.07.2024 and a report was also sent to the Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Chennai, who in

turn, has conducted enquiry, in which, the petitioner and the respondent appeared and the next date of hearing was fixed on 05.11.2024 and appropriate orders will be passed.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) appearing for the respondent, this Contempt Petition is closed.
