This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioners representation dated 13.06.2023 in respect of appointment as Village Assistant in Alakudi or in Kattur Villages in Sirkali Taluk within time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner has applied for the post of Village Assistant as per the notification of the District Collector. Though the petitioner has been called for the interview, she has not been selected and some other person has been selected for Thirukarugavur Village. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. When a person has participated in the interview and he has not been selected, he cannot seek a direction to appoint him as a matter of 2/4

right. It is also submitted by the learned Government Advocate that selection is already over and the petitioner is not selected. In such view of the matter, Mandamus will not lie to give a direction to select the petitioner.
