This Criminal Original Petition has been filed challenging the docket order passed on 20.06.2023, returning the petition filed by the petitioner seeking for extension of time to pay 20% of the compensation amount as directed by the Court below while suspending of sentence pending C.A.No.38 of 2023.

2. Heard Mr.K.S.Karthik Raja, learned counsel for petitioner and carefully perused the materials available on record.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to deposit 20% of the compensation amount before the trial Court within a period of one week from today. It is made clear that no further extension of time will be granted. If the petitioner fails to deposit the amount within the time stipulated by this Court, the suspension of sentence granted in favour of the petitioner shall stand cancelled automatically without any further reference 2/4

to this Court and the Court below shall take steps to secure the petitioner in order to serve the sentence imposed by the trial Court.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
