Respondent(s) PRAYER This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 23 rd February 2025 sent on 1st March 2025 made by the petitioner, particularly the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), to rectify/correct the name of the petitioner in the Aadhar database and Aadhar card, and restore it to the correct and original name ie., 'G.EBINGEO' to 'HARIHARAN.V'. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Mandamus, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to deal with the representation made by the petitioner, wherein, he is aggrieved by the fact that the name of the petitioner

was changed as 'G.Ebingeo' when original name of the petitioner is 'Hariharan.V' in the Adhar Card.

2.When the matter was taken up for hearing on 19.08.2025, this Court directed the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 2 to 4 to take instructions.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel submitted that some time is required for the third respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner and take a decision. 4.The main grievance that was expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the actual name of the petitioner is 'Hariharan.V'. Initially, the Adhar Card was given only in the said name. However, later the name has been changed as 'G.Ebingeo' without the consent of the petitioner or his parents and without their knowledge. In view of the same, the petitioner submitted a representation on 23.02.2025. Since it did not invoke any response, the present

Writ Petition has been filed before this Court. 5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the material placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the third respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner and do needful within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.This Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above direction.
