ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report within the stipulated period in Crime No.177 of 2024 pending on the file of the respondent police before the learned VII Metropolitan magistrate, George Town, Chennai.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he had given a complaint to the respondent against the accused and the same has been registered in Crime No.177 of 2024 for the offence under section 294 [b] IPC. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the complaint has been registered, there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the present petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent to file a final report.

3. The learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] would submit that investigation has been done and further action has been dropped in this case and RCS has also been served to the petitioner on 10.08.2023.

4. Recording the submissions of the learned Government Advocate [Criminal Side] appearing for the respondent, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
