[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.,] (1) Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

(2) This writ petition is filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to initiate appropriate action on the complaint of the petitioner dated 02.03.2020. (3) Against the petitioner, there was a criminal complaint in Crime No.9.2020 and it is the case of the petitioner that the criminal case is false and due to the ill-motive the defacto complainant had against the petitioner who had occasion to expose the defacto complainant in relation to certain irregularities in a Fair Price Shop. Stating that the petitioner was ill-treated by the police officials at the instance of the defacto complainant, the petitioner has filed the complaint before

the 1st respondent for violation of human rights. Though the complaint as such disclose a prima facie case, it is the grievance of the petitioner that no action has been taken so far. (4) It is in these circumstances, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the complaint of the petitioner or the facts narrated in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's complaint which is stated to have been filed before the Commission and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law by passing appropriate orders. If the 1st respondent finds that the complaint is maintainable, the complaint shall be numbered and disposed of as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
