ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nilgiris, to expedite the trial in CC No.36 of 2020.
2. The case of the defacto complainant is that the petitioners, who were working as Under Secretary and Assistant Officers in the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission, in the office of the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission, are alleged to have committed malpractice in the Group II Services examinations conducted at Gudalur Cetre, one among the centres in Udamandalam District, on 17.11.2007 .
3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent and perused the entire materials available on record.
4. On perusal of the records, it is seen that initially, the case has been taken on file as CC No.20 of 2011 by the Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam 2/4
and thereafter, transferred to Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Mahila Court, Udhahamandalam and renumbered as CC No.6 of 2018. Now the same has been pending on the file of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Nilgiris in CC No. 36 of 2020.
5. Since the case is pending from the year 2011, this court directs the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nilgiris to expedite the trial of the case in C.C.No.36 of 2020 pending on his file and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible
6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
