JUDGMENT

(Delivered by D.KRISHNAKUMAR,J.) The petitioner in the writ petition has filed this appeal challenging the impugned order dated 12.10.2022 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.10518 of 2022.

2. Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaram, learned counsel for the appellant, submitted that in the writ petition filed challenging the order dated 8.4.2022 passed by the first respondent under Sections 203 and 204 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, even though initially, by order dated 7.6.2022, the learned Single Judge granted an order of status-quo, subsequently, by the order under challenge dated 12.10.2002, liberty has been granted by the learned Single Judge to the respondents to proceed further in accordance with law and report its outcome on the next date of hearing and such a direction to file a report would influence the respondent authorities

to file an adverse report against the appellant.

Learned counsel for the appellant further submitted that even though proceedings under Section 205 of the Act is not the subject matter of challenge in the writ petition, by virtue of the liberty granted by the learned Single Judge, there is eminent possibility of passing orders under Section 205 of the Act.

4. Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, submitted that no prejudice would be caused to the appellant in view of the liberty granted by the learned Single Judge and, in any event, the respondent authorities shall consider the case of the appellant on its own merits and file a report before the learned Single Judge without being influenced by the observations contained in the order dated 12.10.2022 passed in W.P.No.10518 of 2022.

5. In view of the aforesaid submission made by learned State Government Pleader, we are not inclined to enter into the merits of this appeal. Accordingly, the writ appeal stands disposed of. There

will be no order as to costs. Consequently, C.M.P.No.18478 of 2022 is closed.
