Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first Respondent the State Government of Tamil Nadu, represented by the Secretary Revenue, Fort St. George, Chennai 600 009 to pay the balance of the Compensation amount of

Rs.45 lakhs due to the petitioner along with interest at 9 percentage and 30 percentage Solatium by depositing the amount due to the Petitioners in a nationalized bank in Chennai in the name of the 2nd Petitioner V. Ambiganathan.

For Petitioners : Mr.C.Parthiban For Respondents : Mr.G.Velu Additional Government Pleader O RDER This Writ Petition has been filed for direction directing the first respondent to pay the balance compensation amount due to the petitioner with interest.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Pending writ petition, the petitioner also submitted a memo of calculation of balance compensation and the respondents also filed a memo of calculation in respect of the balance compensation. Both differs.

4. In view of the above, the third respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry in this regard, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, calculate the balance compensation amount and pay the same with interest to

the petitioners, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
