ORDER

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st respondent/Tahsildar to issue patta in favour of the petitioners in respect of the plots bearing Plot Nos.1 to 3 in Survey No.939/3, in Anna Nagar Scheme land under the Tamil Nadu Urban Development project, in Madukkarai Village, Madukkarai Taluk, Coimbatore District and allotted by the second respondent within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioners that the plots bearing Nos.1 to 3 in Survey Nos.939/3 were allotted to them under Tamil Nadu Urban 2/6

Development Project, in which, they have constructed houses after obtaining planning permission from Madukkarai Village and Town Panchayat, Coimbatore South Taluk and District. While being so, the petitioners made a joint representation dated 19.09.2022 to the 1st respondent, seeking transfer of patta in their favour in respect of the above said plots. However, till date, the same has not been considered. Hence, the present petition has been filed.

3. Though very many grounds have been raised, however, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent/Tahsildar to consider the representation dated 19.09.2022 made by the petitioners seeking transfer of patta and pass appropriate orders on the same, within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

4. On the above contentions, this Court heard the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents who has no objection to the said order being passed.

5. In view of the limited relief sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent/Tahsildar to consider the joint representation dated 19.09.2022 made by the petitioners seeking transfer of patta and pass appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as to the aggrieved parties if any, within a period of Four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the aforesaid direction. No Costs.
