O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta to the land comprised in S.F.No.46/4, New No.73/28 at Amani Ammampalayam Village, Salem District to an extent of 921.40 sq.ft. in the name of the petitioner by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 20.10.2016 within a time frame.

2.Mr.Mohanraju, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his representation as early as on 20.10.2016 for the issuance of patta, the respondent has not passed any order so far. 3.Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.10.2016 and pass orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks.

4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.10.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
