This is an application seeking extension of time for passing of award by the Arbitral Tribunal for a further period of three months.

This Court, vide order dated 24.03.2017 in O.P.No.866 of 2016, had appointed Hon'ble Mr.Justice N.V.Balasubramaniam, a retired Judge of this Court as Sole Arbitrator to adjudicate upon the disputes between the petitioner and the respondent. It is stated that if extension of time is granted for holding some more sittings, the arguments would be completed and the Arbitral Tribunal shall pass its final award. Since the mandate of the Tribunal has expired, the present application has been filed.
